Christopher Kim, MD, MBA, SFHM, Associate Professor, Internal Medicine, University of Washington Medical Center.
Christopher Kim, MD, MBA, SFHM, is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Washington. He arrived to the Pacific Northwest in 2015, after spending the first 15 years of his career at the University of Michigan. He is a practicing hospitalist, and has worked on initiatives to improve quality, safety and efficiency within the clinical care delivery system in Michigan and Washington. He has also been an active faculty member in educating students, residents, fellows and faculty about quality, safety and efficiency in health care. Currently, he serves as the Associate Medical Director for Quality and Safety at the University of Washington Medical Center. In this role, he oversees the quality and safety programs within the medical center and works in concert with other quality and safety leaders within the UW Medicine health system. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine, and a master of business administration from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. He completed his residency training in the combined internal medicine and pediatrics program at the University of Michigan.
